Anthony Killeen
Director of Clinical Laboratories
Dr. Killeen is a professor and vice-chair of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He received his undergraduate and medical degree from the National University of Ireland, his Master's from the University of Oxford, and his PhD from the University of Minnesota. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology and the American Board for Clinical Chemistry. Dr. Killeen has held many national leadership roles in Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. He served as chair of the Chemistry Resource Committee, the Instrumentation Committee, and the Accuracy-Based Surveys Committee for CAP. He has served in many offices in the ADLM (formerly AACC) and is currently the President-elect of ADLM. Dr. Killeen's research interests are in hypertension, diabetes, and the effects of bariatric surgery. He is the lab director for the University of Minnesota's Advanced Research and Diagnostics Lab, which is a central clinical laboratory for many NIH-funded clinical trials and the NHANES population surveys.
