Ibrahim Hashim, M.Sc., PhD, C.Sci., FIBMS, DABCC, FAACC, is a professor of Pathology, Chief of Clinical Pathology, and Clinical Chemistry Director at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He has more than 30 years of experience as a clinical chemist, with interests in appropriate test utilization and in promoting the laboratory to be at the clinical interface with impact on patient care.

Dr. Hashim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, a Fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, a Chartered Scientist, and a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science. He has also authored or co-authored over 120 manuscripts, book chapters, and proceedings. As well as won several teaching awards, outstanding speaker awards and Clinical Chemist Recognition awards.
