Sami Yusef

As Chair of Corporate Development for Mayo Clinic International and Mayo Collaborative Services, Sami is responsible for leading Corporate Development activities including the development of a strategic framework and growth ventures to identify key inorganic innovations and opportunities to drive partnerships, joint ventures, mergers, and strategic alliances.

Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, Sami held a wide range of leadership positions in research & development, alliance management, portfolio strategy, corporate strategy, and corporate development from small-cap privately held companies to Fortune 500 public companies. In addition to his extensive experience in the life science and pharmaceutical industry, he has held an adjunct faculty position and has experience in direct health care delivery.

Sami also holds an active pharmacist license. Sami holds a B.S. in Microbiology and a B.S. in Molecular Genetics from UCLA, an M.S. in Biological Chemistry from Purdue University, a Pharm D from Creighton University, an M.S. in Health Economics from Creighton University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Sami has held various board membership positions in healthcare, life sciences and technology companies including in industry organizations. Sami also serves on several venture catalyst advisory boards and is active in community and volunteer engagement.
